![]() ![]() One other thing, I have not taken the back off to check what kind of battery is in this, but I timed it last night, and it looks like it will go about 3 hours on a charge, which is what is advertised. Hopefully all of this stuff is configured and all I need to do is get the maps updated permanently to the 2017 version, and nothing will get reversed when the trial version expires. When I pressed that Icon, the screen has not went to black since. Later, after I went for a drive and re-tried running a route, I noticed a kind of keyhole shaped icon, similar to the one you press to shut down the GPS, only this was on the blacked out screen that kept popping up when trying to run a route. That's when I had those problems with not being able to set the clock to 12 hour time from 24 hour time screen go to black when you create a route using a favorite while on the road, etc.īut when I downloaded the latest version of IGO from the Play Store, it automatically threw me into the configuration wizard, which had not happened when I first used the stock version there, I could change some settings that I could not seem to change in the stock version. When I took those earlier snapshots and posted them, I had just charged the unit and hit the 'Navigation' button on the main menu. ![]() I'm not sure, but I though the version 9.69 started working better after I downloaded the 9.53 Trial Version & maps(?), which is why I though it was the better version I was using, when actually is the original 9.69 stock Primo version which I prefer, that seems to be working better ? ![]() The Download “IGO Navigaton”, 7 day Trial Version says version 9.53 and is dated 6/19/18. The stock IGO Primo Navigation that came on my unit says version 9.69 and is dated Sept 11, 2013. I'll look it over later, or maybe I will decide to send this back. I also tried about every menu setting at both the Android Main Menu settings and Igo Nav settings while on the road, but could not correct this 'screen-to-to-black' and many of the other problems listed at the beginning of this posting. Sure is part of the software, from the looks of it. It might be in there, or maybe that is a characteristic of the version of IGO Nav that came on the unit. I do have a copy of the IGO/Android manual, and did look at it to find the setting to keep the map on the screen instead of going black as shown in the photos I posted but could not find it. This responsibility of learning, the unknown of whether I will regret what I am investing my time and $ in, and what all other disappointments I may find, while on a 30 day time limit to evaluate, sometimes has me wondering whether I need this that bad, or would regret keeping it. I'm not retired, and sometimes have to budget my time carefully. Click to expand.I appreciate the information. ![]()
